I personally believe in the power of human mind, having clarity and sending a clear intention to Universe regarding what you really want. You don’t need any additional objects for that but sometimes objects and rituals help to focus the intention and make it stronger. In this post I want to talk about Lakshmi Mantra for abundance. It is usually chanted with 108 mala beads so you can keep track of the count.
This mantra is dedicated to the Goddess Lakshmi, who governs wealth, prosperity, generosity, beauty. The mantra is a prayer to Universal Consciousness to bestow us with abundance in the honor of great Goddess Lakshmi.
Do not approach it as a magical solution, you have to take an action in the real world to see any results. Think of it as an aid to focus your intention so your efforts will bring results.
Lakshmi Mantra for Abundance: choose your mantra
To start with Lakshmi mantra meditation you have to choose your mantra. In this particular case we will use “OM SHRIM MAHA LAKSHMIYEI SWAHA”. If you are under 28 years old you have to use NAMAHA instead of SWAHA. So your mantra becomes: “OM SHRIM MAHA LAKSHMIYEI NAMAHA”.
Lakshmi Mantra for Abundance: set the intention
Hold the mala beads in your hands, sit in a quiet place, let go of all thoughts. Set your intention – think about the purpose of this meditation and feel that you will achieve it. Do not just repeat the mantra mechanically. Without your firm intention there will be no benefits for you.
Lakshmi Mantra for Abundance Meditation: the technique
Touch the center of the beads – this can be the charm (Lotus, Buddha, Om sign) or a tassel in the middle.
As you start reciting the mantra pull one bead at a time towards you. One bead corresponds to chanting the whole 5-word mantra once.
When you say the mantra 108 times you’ll be back to the centre of the beads. Give thanks for the abundance that is coming into your life.
It is believed that you have to practice this twice a day for 40 days to see the benefits.
After that, let it go. Do what you need to do. You sent your intention to Universe, you focused your mind on what you want, the only thing you need now is to follow your plan.
Abundance meditation: additional mantra
To cultivate compassion, patience, wisdom and clear jealousy, pride, aggression and greed, practice also “OM MANI PADME HUM” mantra with mala beads. To derive maximum benefits from the abundance meditation, practice the two mantras for the same 40-day period. This will ensure the purity of your purpose and whatever you want to achieve will be for the benefit of all involved.
Let me know if you need to buy mala beads and I’ll find the best price for you.
